The Towne Squares Quilt Club workshop on January 12th was a big success! We all enjoyed creating the 'mystery blocks' that turned out to be the speedy arrowhead technique. How did the designer, Anita Grossman Solomon, come UP with the idea?!?! It was like magic, sewing squares together, cutting the sets apart with only three cuts, and getting all the pieces to make a complicated-looking block so EASY!
Pam did a wonderful job of demonstrating the technique, and was so supportive as we all jumped in to sew our own masterpieces.
We'll all enjoy seeing the finished quilts in the months (years?) to come at our meetings for show 'n tell. Stay tuned for info coming up on the February workshop!
[Oh, and here's our Birthday Girl Leola, founder of this group, who turned 91 years young the day after our workshop!!]
